I am glad that I gave this book a second chance.
I dnf'd years ago due to the second person, present tense perspective that just rubbed me up the wrong way. Luckily second person was used sparingly and I got used to the present tense.
Once I got over that I was able to absorb myself in this original and creative book all about magic and the imagination. The author does a great job of portraying setting and bringing the story alive for the reader. On that count I cannot fault this book. I did, how ...more

WOW! I am still trying to come down from the high that I got from this book. So intriguing! The night circus is amazing you can relate to the characters in the story and the description is so unreal that you actually feel like your involved in the dealing of whats going on in the night circus. Amazing writing! love this book
