Das ist mir beim Lesen dieses Buches nicht nur einmal durch den Kopf geschossen. Gone Girl ist ein bisschen anders als andere Krimis und absolut genial. Die Story ist intelligent, spannend und böse. So abgrundtief böse, dass mir nicht nur einmal die Kinnlade runtergeklappt ist. Was in der Geschichte abgeht, ist (in Ermangelung eines besseren Wortes) Mindfuck vom Feinsten.

I finally started reading this book that I had always wanted to read because of its acclamation and also because of the amount of people telling me how good it is.
So yes, it's definitely got a very gripping storyline, and albeit a little bit slow at times, I still felt it was written within the appropriate length - not too long, not too short.
It's a very nice read, but it's also not the best, mind-blowing thriller I have read.
