I'm not actually sure when I first read this, but I have had a copy since at least 2009 and regularly consult it as a reference on the history of obscure streetcar lines in DC. While it has some of the flaws of railfan-written books on old streetcar systems, it is more comprehensive than many of them, and it has an index!
