I hated this narrator - Charlotte Bronte unleashed. If this is what Ms. Bronte would think and do with freedom from the patriarchy, then I am happy with her lack of liberation. Ms. Bronte's female characters are held back in what they say and do by propriety. Her male character uses this freedom to objectify, criticize, and provoke mutiny. He's racist and a pedophile.
