This book, you guys. THIS BOOK. I wish I had the words to convey how wonderfully glittery and rocking this book is. My first read-through was with the audiobook and it's a joy and a delight and I want to snuggle it and hold it close forever. This is one of those times I wish Goodreads had half stars, as this is firmly a 3.5. When I liked it, I liked it quite a lot. I thought it had a lot of interesting points to make about intelligence and sentience and human nature, and loads of quotable quotes. Valente is without question an excellent wordsmith and knows her craft.
