3.5 stars. I could identify with Eleanor's story and her tales of having a stepfather you prefer not to think about too much, especially as "dad." Park is just a sweetheart of a guy and a perfect boyfriend. Park's parents are perfect too. Too perfect maybe. Awwww. That's what I kept saying to myself as this book on teenage first love unfolded. It was cute. It's been a long time since I was a teenager but I think it was pretty accurate in the descriptions of feelings and emotions - you just can't get enough of a person, the excitement, the longing, the wonder. Excellent YA story about bullying. Should be read by all. Great author and look forward to her next book.

a fast paced book describing first love, the pressures of high school, family life. I know.everyone is gushing over this..much as the perks of being a wallflower was gushed over (at this story was able to be enjoyed..I hated PERKS) but really it is just another in a long line of similar books. or maybe at almost 40 I am over this line of story telling.

This was well written and a good young adult story. Unfortunately, though, I've had it up to my eyeballs with teen angst lately. I'm hoping my next book has plenty of gunfire and explosives. ...more
