Another book that makes me immensely grateful to be a woman living in America. This book was very enlightening in regards to the “moral crimes” of women and the justice system in modern day Afghanistan. This story unfolds in perfectly peeled layers, as we learn more about Zeba, her family, her relationship with her husband, and ultimately the crime of which she is accused.
