I'll repeat what the GoodReads Synopsis said, that "Taylor Jenkins Reid is a talented writer who takes her work to a new level with Daisy Jones & The Six, brilliantly capturing a place and time in an utterly distinctive voice."

Maybe I missed the connection bus? There wasn't a character in this book that I felt connected with. I tried with Karen - I tried with Camilla - I tried with Daisy. Did not happen.
As I turned the pages I kept thinking I've read this story before. I am sure I'll love the movie and the soundtrack. This was entertaining but this was not a four or five star read for me.
If I had to pick between having dinner with Daisy Jones or Evelyn Hugo I'd pick Evelyn any day of the week. ...more

Would make a good beach read. Takes you back to the 70's. Rock and roll and all that jazz. Told in interview format which I think helped the story.

i did not want to believe the hype with this one. Especially as it is is written in such a different format ( told through interviews). I mean how many Almost Famous/DrewBarrymore/FLeetwoodMac type stories do we need? I individually love all those stories and then I loved this one too. For a well done book, it doesn't matter how many time the themes have been done.
