I'll repeat what the GoodReads Synopsis said, that "Taylor Jenkins Reid is a talented writer who takes her work to a new level with Daisy Jones & The Six, brilliantly capturing a place and time in an utterly distinctive voice."

Voices are what make this book for me and why I would say there cannot be any other way to enjoy this book other than on audio. It's a great story, yes, but I am guessing perhaps slow in some spots, without the entertaining vocal cast (of many, many people, famous and othe

I’m not sure if I was expecting more because of all the hype...but just a 3 star read for me. Slight disappointment because I was expecting so much more!

Maybe I missed the connection bus? There wasn't a character in this book that I felt connected with. I tried with Karen - I tried with Camilla - I tried with Daisy. Did not happen.

As I turned the pages I kept thinking I've read this story before. I am sure I'll love the movie and the soundtrack. This was entertaining but this was not a four or five star read for me.

If I had to pick between having dinner with Daisy Jones or Evelyn Hugo I'd pick Evelyn any day of the week.

Would make a good beach read. Takes you back to the 70's. Rock and roll and all that jazz. Told in interview format which I think helped the story. ...more

I really enjoyed this one. I liked the interview format, and totally loved the rock n roll vibe.

To me this is a very sad portrayal of a band’s fight to get to the top and when they make it, their fall back to earth. Camille is the one with her head on straight who never gives up on her man!

i did not want to believe the hype with this one. Especially as it is is written in such a different format ( told through interviews). I mean how many Almost Famous/DrewBarrymore/FLeetwoodMac type stories do we need? I individually love all those stories and then I loved this one too. For a well done book, it doesn't matter how many time the themes have been done. ...more
