I find this author intriguing, although I have only read some of her stand alones. I was one of the few who gaveSunburn 5 stars so was anxious to listen to this one. Sunburn was noir with a 50s feeling; this one visits the 1960s.
Maddy Schwartz is lovely to look at and married with a son, and sadly that's all she thinks of herself at first. She suddenly wants more. In the first half of this book, I really did not know where it was going or what Lippman was trying to show.

Liked the idea of the plot and the glimpse into life in 1960's Baltimore BUT never felt any connection with any character.
