A game reserve, Thula Thula, in Southern Africa and a man with a big heart, Lawrence Anthony, take on the welfare of seven rogue elephants. A real wildlife animal lover might love this. That’s not me, but it was OK. I especially liked the end, when the author summarized what each elephant had taught him. And, the epilogue summarizing how the herd reacted when he died was also touching. I could have done without a lot of the detail about day to day life on the reserve.
