This is the first novel I read by the author. I enjoyed reading. But, for me it took awhile to connect with all the characters and how they connected to each other until it came together at the end..

Let yourself go and read this book. A magical ride.
My favorite author is back and she did not disappoint! I took my time reading this book and it was beautiful. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I like how she is able to tie storylines together like little bows, it made me audibly sigh while reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Delightful. I love found family books.
I loved this book! The imagery, the ghosts, the every day magic that makes our world so splendid. Addison has a way of drawing each sense into her book, from the lush visuals, to the heavenly aromas, the sounds of the birds. She is a phenomenal writer and just what I needed in the gloomy end of winter.

For the first 100 pages, I was pretty sure I would not finish. But I did and it has a wonderful cast of characters, living ones, ghosty ones, and bird ones.
