Shelves: audio, read-in-2024, mystery-suspense-thriller, libby

The audio was excellent with January Lavoy, who consistently hits it out of the park. A good enough mystery, although I figured it out well before the reveal. It felt targeted to twenty-somethings, the way the characters seemed very eager to jump each other's bones at all times, and in the oddest of situations. Some reviewers didn't like Lucy's snarkiness, but I thought that was her best feature. ...more

This was a good thriller and was hard to put down. But... some things bothered me and it was all about the main character. She was snarky and funny but also a complete mess. But I couldn't tell if it was completely intentional or not. (view spoiler) ...more

I loved Listen for the Lie. If you read rather than listen to books. You must follow along while listening to audio. It’s one of the best ways to read it. The story is mixed it with solving a crime through a podcast investigation. I throughly enjoyed, and engaged with listening and reading. I can visualize it like I was there. I recommend reading and listening. I have a difficult time listening to audio as I easily get distracted. I found if you do both. But, you have to test the speed. For me i ...more
