Our teacher read this to us in primary school and I loved it so much I took it straight out of the library and reread it. It was enchanting.

31.10.11 On a second reading as an adult I still love this book but find it a little dated and wordy. I have recently read THE SHEEP-PIG and found it more charming. ...more
