This book was set in Arcadia Falls, a sleepy town hidden away along with lots of family secrets and a prestigious art academy. I thought that this novel overall was good. I just wish that the language the author used was more fluid throughout the novel. I felt like there were many twists and turns and most of the surprises happened towards the end and it felt like it was a little too hard to explain/come together. At the end, I just felt like "ugh, not again!"

If you like the idea of fairy tales, or a story within a story....within a story, then this is a book for you. The descriptions of the surroundings were fantastic, the characters were interesting, and the story kept moving. The end was a bit confusing, but overall a really good read.

I've hovered over those stars long enough now and have given Arcadia Falls a 4. The reader clearly needs to be attracted to fairy tales, Celtic wisdoms and myth, mysteries, and some underlying magic and mysticism, although the story isn't heavy on any of these topics. Once I got through my initial frustrations with the teenage dialogues and more into the meat of the story, I was enthralled with the descriptions, the relationships, and simply, the story.
