[close] Great read! The narrator gives a very interesting perspective on what life is like in the rural, impoverished, South during modern day. While Hurricane Katrina is a major character in the story, the story is not about the Hurricane. It is about a family living with racial, economic, and social stress but are hopeful and unified. Wonderful book!
