I liked this story a lot more than I ever expected to. I completely fell in love with all the characters and the references to different books like Lord of the Flies was really appreciated. By the end of the story I was freaking out and it actually ended with my worst nightmare of a situation. I think I need a little break from this series before I pick up the second book.

I'm tossing up between 3 and 4 because as much as I enjoyed reading this book there were a few inconsistencies that bothered me (where did Chubs get that super strength from at the camp? Clancy felt like two characters mashed into one???)
Overall I did enjoy this book and I want to keep reading them but I might need to reread it to bump it up a star ...more

This book was super interesting and completely unique! It was very fast paced and full of action and friendship (which I loved) but sometimes it would jump a lot of time very quickly and it would be chunky, and I totally should have predicted that ending.
