A powerful collage of tragic stories; eye-opening and well-written, yet painful to read. It took me a while to get through this - the first third was particularly harrowing and hard to stomach. I’m happy that I read it at last and feel enlightened after my journey through Asante and Fante land of what is now Ghana, and the dark sides of past America.
