Gripping tear jerker. Great story with a terrific heroine. V readable.
This is a real page-turner, which should engage readers of all ages. The way Kerril changes from day to day through the entries in her diary as she gradually becomes more and more isolated is very convincing, and her voice has a real ring of truth. The ending leaves the reader with some thinking to do, and I'd like a sequel where I can read about what happened to her brother!
