I had a bit of a hard time getting into this....
but a little over halfway through I just couldn't put it down, and if I didn't have to be such a human and get some sleep for work the next day I never would have put it down at all!!
The story reminds me a little of Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks but a little more British and a little more intense. Mostly just the abusive husband stuff and the beach town is what gave me those vibes.
