The book title pretty much says it all. Quick essential read that craftily toes the line between widely applicable philosophies (i.e. stakeholder priorities are not necessarily good for UX, users often don't access sites from the home page) and specific technical tips (i.e. don't use small, low-contrast type, don't put labels inside form fields, bad taglines are generic, tabs are the best). Bonus points for "the unbearable lightness of browsing" reference.
