While there were some interesting stories in the book, I found it to be repetitive and lacking in purpose. It could be that psych classes prevented the book from being cool new information...but it was annoying that it seemed to be merely a list of anecdotes to illustrate the phenomena without drawing any conclusions from it or taking the information in a new direction.

When I first saw this book I was excited. Another Malcolm Gladwell book. I loved the Tipping Point. But Blink is a very different kind of book than The Tipping Point. It is less accessible and unlike the information and ideas expressed in Tipping Point, I'm uncertain how I could put any of it into practice. Fine, lots of evidence -- but I didn't care about the main point. So we make snap judgements, and often they are right. I knew that, and this didn't really help me to understand why. A bunch of anecdotes supporting it does nothing for me, and the evalutionary evidence could have been summarized in an essay and been more powerful.
