I'm not crazy about A.J. Jacobs, but for some reason I can't put his books down (AJ, if you're reading this send me a message and I'll clarify). They're slightly amusing and every 3rd page he either nails a metaphor or uses a word that is just barely off of my radar. Overall I think Know-it-all was a bit more suited to my tastes, but coincidentally I've been reading a lot of atheist manifestos and this was a nice breather. A.J. In the book, the author procedes to try and live the directions and commandments of the Bible, taking them as literally as possible, for a year. During that year, he interviews a wide range of people, from a former cult leader (his uncle) to an atheist, to the Creationist Museum.

I really enjoyed A.J. Jacobs previous book, The Know it all. His books are thoughtful and funny. If you can find it check out his talk about this book at "TED" (search iTunes), he sounds nothing like I thought he would.
