Review: THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10 By Ruth Ware
When I read Ruth Ware' s engrossing debut, IN A DARK, DARK WOOD, I was over the moon with excitement. In her new mystery, THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10, author Ware demonstrates she's a multiple-hit wonder, and I'm still over the moon. From the explosive beginning, all the way through, Ruth War demonstrates an exceptional genius for crafting mysteries, for character delineation, and for incredible writing talent. I remembered some and forgot some but it was definitely well worth the re-read and now I cannot wait to start The Woman in Suite 11!! Takes a lot longer to read a physical book than it used to. Due to a certain toddler. 😆

I flew through this book! It read a little bit like a guilty summer-pool-side read and I loved it. I am giving this 4 stars because 1) I would've structured the beginning differently - Laura is meant to be an unreliable witness, and Ruth Ware does a great job conveying this, but I think if the reader would've found out about her anxiety, and her recent frightful encounter with a robber, and her boyfriend troubles while she was figuring out what's going on with the woman from cabin 10, it would'v

Recommended If You Like: In a Dark Dark Wood, (possibly) unreliable narrators, female narrators, twists and turns, isolated and claustrophobic locations, the classic killer is one of us trope
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This did not affect my opinion of the book or my review itself.
In In a Dark Dark Wood, Ruth Ware took her readers to an isolated cabin full of tension and secrets. In The Woman in Cabin 10, the setting is a luxury cruise ship ...more

Interesting modern twist on Agatha Christie's locked room whodunnit mysteries. Quick read, quite a page-turner. A little predictable and a lot of nothing after mystery was solved, but a good read nontheless.
