I really liked this book but dang was it graphic! I was a bit nauseous a few times, and I have to say, the first episode of the show (watched for free) is also quite graphic. The ending of the trilogy had been spoiled for me by The Outsider, which is essentially a companion to the Bill Hodges trilogy so you should not read The Outsider unless you've read these books first. Not just because of the spoilers but also you understand the character Holly a LOT better. She was just annoying in The Outs

Fantastic. Amazing characters, great pacing, I just couldn't leave the book until I was done. Love the ending. So glad it's not over and I have two more books in trilogy!

Wow, this book grabs you right from the beginning. A retired cop tries to solve a case he was on and ends up involving a teenager and a mentally disturbed adult. What they did together was awesome. Don't want to say to much without spoiling the story. I liked Hodges, Janey, Jerome and Holly. Great characters.

This is a solid book. There were lots of twists and turns, some of them predictable, others not. I'm looking forward to reading the second installment soon.

I was surprised I read a little over a 500-page book in a day. I really liked the plot of this book and the way it was set up. The chapters either followed Hodges (good guy) or Brady (bad guy). I enjoyed the parts about Brady the best. I really didn't have a favorite character. None of them really stood out to me. I guess if I had

I think I prefer Stephen King's more supernatural stories over these ones where the evil is of the more ordinary human variety. In a way the human evil stories are creepier, but they lack the extra layer of coolness I enjoy from a great Stephen King story. I found this book entertaining and well written, but it was also pretty predictable, an odd thing for me to say about any of King's books. Since this was not meant to be a murder mystery, we're told who the bad guy is early on, and from almost
