sooooo good!! this is a modern classic for many of the same reasons that she-ra and the princesses of power is a modern classic. it's creative, disarmingly funny, beautifully illustrated, dark, and full of heart.

I overall enjoyed this but have some mixed thoughts. 3.5 stars is more accurate.

Story- I liked this quite a bit. Part fantasy with a medieval feel. But we also get tech mixed in. Are villians bad? And what is with the Institute?
I liked the characters. Blackheart-Great Character, Nimona was a complex enigma, Goldernloin I had mixed thoughts on and hated the name (and laughed).
Art- I was not a fan. I have never been a fan of the choppy style portrayed.

Re-read in a different format (ebook)! I love Nimona! But I think I liked the full cast audiobook more than the graphic novel. The artwork is not the greatest. The story is amazing. Why hasn't she done more?!

Swoon!

This was great. I loved the complex, very human, and difficult interpersonal relationships in this story. This is all of us! We all can be evil at times and good at others.
