Slow start, very detailed, a coming of age story. Just a few of the things I usually don‘t like in a book. This is done in a likeable fashion though and I even enjoyed reading about Fitz‘s youth.

Fantastic. It took me some time to accept that this is a character-driven story, but once it clicked for me, I really enjoyed it. The story is brilliantly told from a first-person perspective, and I completely felt the same emotions as the MC and shared the same opinions towards the other characters as he did. At first, I was also a bit confused about the world and the magic, but in the end, it was fun discovering the information alongside Fitz. I can't remember the last time I cried so many tim
