Thank you. The doors of perception opened. Thank you.

Where do threads end and begin! The Brits had decided that the US should get off its duff and join the war effort. I was so excited to get an ARC of this book, as I am a big fan of Erik Larson, and this book did not disappoint. It tells the story of the ill-fated voyage of the Lusitania, and everyone involved, from passengers to U-Boat commanders. Even though history has already told us the ending, it still comes as a shock, and you learn so much more about what actually happened, and the aftereffects, than textbooks typically say.
