Ugh. I don't know if I can write a review yet. I think I'm salty when authors dive into neuroscience topics and really don't know what they're talking about. I am mostly concerned that this shouldn't be YA as I really am afraid teenagers, as impressionable as they are, will walk away believing this crap about dark spots in brains when you're a psychopath (aka your brain solely determining who you are - even though the author sort of says it's nature and nurture but that unfortunately gets lost a

At first, I was not into this. I felt it moved too slowly. I questioned Che's thoughts as he seemed a bit self-centered in many ways. Typical for a teen to wallow in self-pity but I was expecting darker things from his sister. About 1/3 through I almost called it quits. But I pushed through since several peoples reviews that I trust said it is worth reading. At about 50% things finally start to get interesting. Things get twisted. I enjoyed reading My Sister Rosa to see what Rosa would end up doing next. Rosa does lots of things in the book to hurt people and only her brother truly knows what kind of person she is. The story is told through his eyes. The only part I didn't care for was when the brother was in the gym boxing. Some of that was ok, but some of it was rather boring. Some of the story also focuses on his relationship with two girls and while that was good, I kept wanting the story to get back to Rosa. Overall
