What Members Thought
I don't really get the hype surrounding this book. I've heard people say it's "the best book ever." Um, no. Not even close. I found most of the major plot points to be totally predictable. And no matter how hard the author tried, I just hated the main character. How could you not? He does totally indefensible things that just left me furious.

This book was very interesting in the fact that I was able to see what life is/was like in Afghanistan and how the people there were/are affected by the Taliban. I thought the writing wasn't that great, and I didn't like the main character. I'm glad I read it, but I didn't enjoy reading it.
