An early installment in the Cat Who... series... we meet Koko for the first time and witness his uncanny abilitiy to solve mysteries with/for Mr. Q. I get frustrated at the cuteness and cartoonish characterizations in this series, but I really like the cats and the stories are fun, quick reads.

I read this out of curiosity (PLEASE don't say "killed the cat. please). Interesting enough. I would probably not read it again unless there was nothing else to read, but it does no wrong to mystery books. If you really like stories about cats, then you will probably like this book more than I did.

While some of the text was a little dense in dated writing for my taste, overall it was still an excellent mystery. Plenty of clues, and twists. The addition of the cat made the story stand out from many other mysteries which I have read.
I always wondered where Qwilleran got KoKo from. This one was enjoyable enough even though I prefer the ones in Pickax.
As always, George Guidall was a fabulous narrator.
