This book offers an entertaining and informative look at the evolution of graphic design. The narrative is sophisticated, but not overwhelming with detail. It informs as much by showing the reader the concepts as by telling her. And the illustrations are fantastic, including works by the author, Chip Kidd, and others. I even appreciated that he was willing to show a mistake that he made - after all, nobody is perfect.
