In all fairness, I would have loved this book as a kid.
As an adult, I don't enjoy bodily function jokes, names based on bodily functions, and poo nearly as much as when I was a kid. Most of the time, not at all. That being said, this book has some fun humor and I laughed a good part of the time reading it. I just didn't love it.

First note, this is not an adaption of the movie, but the original tale. That being said, it has some of the fun of the film, but not all the laughs. It would be a good reccomendation for the 9-13 crowd.

The audio is super fun! I don't think my kid followed the story at all but he really liked listening to all of David Tennant's funny voices.
