I really enjoyed this mystery and the ending suprised me a bit. I loved the plot and the suspicion that just about anyone could be the murderer. I also enjoyed Lucy's character; I wish I could be so joyful about daily household chores!

This Miss Marple mystery has been on my TBR for a very long time, probably because I bought a bargain kindle version of it at about the time that I bought my first kindle. It has been adapted several times in film and on television. It was an easy read, light entertainment on a blustery day. 2023 update:
So I re-read this after reading all the previous Marple books and I like it better already. I'm upgrading this to 4 stars compared to 3 stars I gave this 10 years ago.

I am working my way through Dame Christie's novels in their published order and revisiting some along the way. I really enjoyed listening to Rosemary Leach narrate this story on the audiobook edition.
I have to admit that even though I'd read this one before (a dozen years ago!), I'd forgotten whodunit, so again the reveal was quite a surprise for me. ...more

Yet another fabulous Miss Marple mystery. This is my favorite Agatha Christie book so far (five down, many to go!) and I'm so happy that I picked this one for the library discussion next month. Should be a fun one!
