I have owned this books since 6th grade (got it as a RIF book), watched the PBS miniseries many times, but yet I finally read the book for the first time. Why did it take me so long?! Absolutely loved the book, and I am so much like Anne. Yup, this book is a keeper.
I have read these more times than I could count, but I have never listened to them. It's time. :)

Hands down, no contest, absolutely my favorite book as a girl. I devoured the entire Anne set on a regular basis, and still do every few years. I wanted to be Anne. I wanted to live in Avonlea at Green Gables. I wanted red hair. I loved everything about it. If I could give it more stars, I would.
When I was little I loved the movies I never read the book until now. They are great. I was very happy the movie stayed true to the book. So I have fallen in love with the books as well.
I wanted to BE Anne, with an e. I love her spirit.
