This is the last book in The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. We all read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series first and really liked it, so it was natural to move on to this series. Our girls tore through these books as fast as they could, and were frustrated when they had to wait for the last two books to be published.

This was an entertaining tale and a fairly fast read for over 500 pages. I loved the way that the ancient cities of Rome and Greece are incorporated into the tale ...more

Shelves: fiction-fantasy, mythology, riordan-mythos

For some reason, it seems lacking. It wasn't grand. It wasn't bland. The adventure of all the past books wasn't there. The characters weren't as interesting, I guess because they were all developed already and there's nothing left to tell.

But still good. ...more
