A solid read. I didn't guess the murderer at all!

This was an interesting mystery and a fast read, too. I really enjoyed it, and I was rather entertained by the descriptions of each character. My favorite was about the character Theresa Arundell, "There hung about her the restrained energy of a whiplash." Good mystery...I'm a big fan of Agatha Christie's works.
August 2013 update: Read this one again on my quest to read all of Dame Agatha's books. This time, I read a version titled Dumb Witness.

Since I like dogs, I was happy that a dog, Bob, is one of the stars in this book. An elderly lady dies. No one suspects that she is murdered, because what happened closely mimics a disease that she suffered from. But when her will is read, she has left her money to her companion, not her 3 nieces and nephews. They are livid! Hercule Poirot is able to determine that she was murdered, and who did it. Of course it is never the person whom you suspect.
