This is an entertaining, medieval and magical story that centers on a brave young girl named Igraine. I love that she is spunky, smart and brave and does not shy away from her passion, even if it's not traditionally for girls.
We listened to Xanthe Elbrick narrate the story on audio CD and she did a terrific job with all of the different characters' voices.
Overall, it's a fun tale of honor and bravery, knights and magicians. It's dramatic and funny and we really enjoyed listening to it together ...more

Igraine has a problem. Her parents are witches and because of a slipped tongue, messed up a spell and turned themselves into pigs. Meanwhile a neighbor has come calling, but not in a good way. Funny story, interesting problems, good read.
