I found the first three books in the Aurora teagarden series at a used bookstore, 10 books for $1!!! I picked these up and figured I'd get them once I collected the series, which happened quite quickly.

I brought 6 of the books with me on vacation and finished them all in less than a week. This is the first of Charlaine Harris' stories tht I've read and I'm so glad I got the series!!!

Aurora Teagarden is a small town librarian who just happens to keep running into dead bodies. She's in a "real murders" club, so maybe that's how she keeps stumbling over corpses. But this is funny and a well written mystery. ...more

Although this book was a bit too grisly for my taste, it was an interesting mystery. It's the first book in the Aurora Teagarden series by Charlaine Harris.

I didn't guess whodunit, so she had me fooled. It was an engaging story, with a fast-moving plot, and I read it very quickly. I would like to check out another Aurora Teagarden mystery, although I hope the next isn't as violent!

I think my expectations were too high.

The Southern Vampires series is much better in my opinion, but I will continue to read the rest of this series.
