This story was better than the predecessor (The Red Pyramid). I enjoyed that the story is evolving, but I really wish that the editors of these books understood what connector words are for, especially ones like "the".

I listened to this audio CD while driving around town on errands, so it took me awhile to finish it. Good continuation of the story; looking forward to the conclusion of the saga with The Serpent's Shadow next.

I do believe I will read any young adult/tween fiction Rick Riordan puts out. I loved this it was fast paced and exciting, Sadie and Carter are really coming into their own as characters and we meet some new great characters along the way. Even with a few editing errors and what I think of a obvious plot hole I loved every minute of this book and am super stoked to read the next installment, as well this has gotten me excited for the Son of Neptune (the next release from Riordan's other series).

I can't wait for the next installment of the Kane adventures! I really wish I had the will power to wait until all the books in a series are out because I HATE waiting in between!

Rick Riordan is a master of packing in content and adventure. He makes his stories interesting and readable, but has so many relevant facts about ancient Egypt in this case (Ancient Greece in his other works) that a kid could learn a whole course worth of info by reading one (and not even realize they were learning) Very magical!

Pretty good sequel with a lot of action. The narrators were fabulous, as well.
