What Members Thought

My husband wanted to have a family movie and dinner night for his birthday. We rarely do this, as our family of five will spend over $100 on the movies (and snacks), especially when we go see 3D IMAX movies, as we did tonight. In any case, we splurged, and he wanted to see The Jungle Book.

I grew up watching the Disney animated movie and didn't realize as a child this was inspired by a book. It was fun to read the inspiration behind the movie and see some familiar characters. I didn't realize, however, that the novel is more than just the story of Mowgli. There are other animal stories in this that are not connected to Mowgli in any way. Overall, it was a fun book to read.
