I've enjoyed reading the Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs and I love how he incorporates old random (and often weird, eerie, and/or obviously faked) photos into the storyline.
Sometimes I wonder if he derives inspiration for the plot from the photos he finds, or if he searches out particular (or maybe I should say peculiar) photos to go along with his plot. Perhaps a bit of both, I suppose.
