What Members Thought
I loved this book. I liked the first one as well, but this one did it just a bit more for me. While other reviewers seemed disappointed by the reduced narration of Bartimaeus and his famous footnotes, I enjoyed the split between the djinni, Nathaniel, and the commoner Kitty. This book allowed more insight into their society, and gave me another hero to root for. Kitty now stands out as my favorite character in this series, although I still care for the others too. This book was WAAAAAAAY better than the Amulet of Samarkand. I am actually starting to like the series a lot. Too bad there is only one more book to read.
