This is a good book that offers suggestions to stop obnoxious behavior, encourage good behavior and strengthen your relationship. With simple techniques that are easy to understand and involve little talking, it attempts to redirect discussion toward positive and encouraging words and away from nagging, yelling and scolding. It reinforces some ideas about positive parenting, listening, and best of all, avoiding the negative cycle of Talk-Persuade-Argue-Yell-Hit.
Some of it is ridiculous, but most of it is very practical and helpful. We will be using this to discipline our son.
