What Members Thought

Hannah Swenson is nothing but a goodie two-shoes and I seriously wanted to punch myself in the face if I had to hear about her life anymore. Not only that, but no officer of the law worth his salt would put a civilian in that type of situation. Unrealistic. Even more unrealistic is that a 20 something woman wouldn't have sex for years. I really enjoyed the first book in the Hannah Swenson series. I felt the main character was honest, funny, and most importantly normal. So many series have women who are desperate for a man or constantly hung up on their body image. While the main character had complaints they were in moderation and completely understandable. I thought this was completely refreshing and a nice change of pace. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is the first of many Hannah Swenson mystery books by Joanne Fluke. Hannah is a baker/owner of a quaint bakery in Lake Eden. She is also an avid murder mystery aficionado, so when a double murder happens in their small town, she can’t help but jump into helping the police, aka her brother-in-law, investigate the murder.
Joanne Fluke writes such a fun Character in Hannah and all the supporting characters are so well written and flushed out. The adventure and mystery are incredible.
