I received this book for free through Goodreads Giveaways and I'm so glad that I did. I was fascinated by the historical background and thoroughly pulled into the story. The gore and violence is a bit strong for my tastes, but I believe that it is likely more historically accurate than not. I really liked this tale and will look for other books by this author. I also liked the additional information and glossary provided in the back of the book.
