This is an interesting book. It's an extremely quick read, a page turner that I could not put down until I was finished. I have to agree with one of the reviewers on the back of the book that the book could only have been improved by its being longer. There was quite a bit I still wan ...more

I have been sitting on this review for several weeks now. I almost feel like it is the type of book that needs to be read more than once, in order to understand it in it's entirety.
All in all, The Family Bones was a very quick read, and I did like it, but I found it to be a little bit confusing at times, as the plot bounces around quite a bit. I hate giving this book only 2 stars when I can tell how hard the author tried with the story. But there are so many things wrong with it, that I got board and the story fell terribly short. I didn't even finish it and it is not a long book. I may pick it back up again some day, but not in the near future.
