Wow, the return of Elvis and Joe (love those guys.) Following in the tracks of L.A. Requiem (which I am glad I just happened to read first--just the evening prior to reading Watchman,) we continue to become better acquainted with the stolid, enigmatic Joe Pike. Is it just me, or is this series becoming both darker and better and the characters more fully dimensional?
