I don't know why, but this book just didn't do it for me as much as the Aisling/Drake books. It was good, but not great. The sex scenes were too quick for my tastes. Little foreplay. The ending was a definite cliffhanger, and it is obvious there is a sequel (because the excerpt at the end of the book is from it).

I absolutely have a fab time reading Katie MacAlister's books. Any and all of them. This one delivered the smartass dialogue-in', butt kickin', dragon lovin' goods. It veers ever so slightly away from our buddy, Aisling Grey, Guardian, demon lord and dragon mate...but she's in this book and I hope shows up from time to time for the series.

Excellent book! Cyrene annoyed me, but as a twin who gave up her common sense to a demon, I guess she would! I'm diving right into Up In Smoke, so glad I found this series! :) ...more

Loved it! I wanted Gabriel's story and here it is, at least the beginning of it. I love the sexiness of the books, they make me want a Dragon of my own. I also love the adventure and danger. Katie MacAlister writes some of the best paranormal romances that are out there. I can't wait for Oct. so that I can read what happens next to Gabriel and May. ...more
