A good solid start to a new series about MacAlister's Dark Ones aka vampire analog. In this novel, we have a woman who knows nothing about the paranormal at the start of the book, who has insecurities about her weight, and who has the horrid problem of having to choose between two handsome men who might be murderers.

very excellent book. i love all of her dark ones books. But now i really want to read "crouching vampire,hidden fang".i want to see if Pia and Kristoff get together. the ending it was a little bittersweet,poor pia. but hopefully they get together. but like i said excellent. she is definitely one of my fav writers. i always try to read her books right away.
