You know that book that everyone's talking about? The kind where you already know that in truth its going to be a disaster and a waste of time, money, etc.? Not with Cinder. This was a book that I had those same thoughts about and never touched until now. And let me tell you that I HATE Cinderella. Never liked it, thought it was boring and stupid. But with Cinder, I wanted to re-watch the classic movie and spy that hint of awesomeness that I found while reading Cinder.

After some deep introspection on this book and having put some distance between it and myself, as well as about forty books for accurate comparison, I can honestly say this book was not my favorite.
It definitely is what it says it is; a sci-fi retelling of Cinderella. Except Cinderella is a cyborg who is an avid fangirl over the prince charming archetype in this. Other than that, there wasn't much substance to it and I'm not certain I'd want to continue on with the series after this first volu ...more

SETTING
The setting was amazing!I loved the fact that it was based on the future and that we got to have a peek on maybe what the world would be in the next ten years to come.Simply fantastic.She actually did a good job in blending our continents with the future.
CHARACTERS

This is my 3rd time trying to read this book. The last two times I didn't really get though it or enjoy it, but this time...

Really enjoyed this book!! It was a very enjoyable read and really was not what I expected! Can't wait for the rest of the series to come out! I loved Cinder and the Prince, I didn't expect the twist at the end, it was fabulous, anxiously awaiting the next in the series!!!!
